Nice PR: "Sugarland's 'Ride' To Fame Keeps Speeding Up"

Writer Brian Mansfield:
Sugarland calls its new album, out Tuesday, Enjoy the Ride, and the country act's two members say they're taking their own advice. I definitely am," says singer Jennifer Nettles. "I feel challenged. I feel exhilarated. I feel blessed, lucky. I feel tired, but that's just because we decided, 'Hey, let's write, record and release a record in the course of a year after our touring schedule's already set.' We're nothing if not ambitious."

Sugarland is pounding the pavement to promote their new release, "Enjoy The Ride," which arrives in stores next Tuesday, Nov. 7th. On Wednesday the group visited City Hall in Sugar Land, TX, where the mayor rolled out the red carpet for Kristian and Jennifer. Nearly 5,000 fans (including Texas Gubernatorial candidate Kinky Friedman) turned out to hear new songs from the album and were treated to an acoustic performance by the band. In other Sugarland news, they will appear on Good Morning America on Monday, Nov 6th as they take over lower Broadway with an outdoor peformance. The group will also perform on the CMA Awards that evening before departing for Manhattan for street date.
